Slide and Splash is located near Lagoa, and it is extremely popular with tourists during July and August, but one of the best times to visit is actually out of peak season. Without the large queues and waiting times to get on the most popular attractions, you can spend all day sliding and splashing until your heart is content! It makes for an excellent family day out, and more often than not the adults are the ones who do not want to pack up and go home!
The water park has been open for 25 years now and is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a great day out. With more slides than you could care to imagine, wave pools, and other interesting and fun things to enjoy, you will have plenty to keep you occupied. As well as the amazing array of water based activities, there are sun loungers for you to relax on, grassy areas to sit and watch the fun, restaurants, cafes and snack bars, and even a wet walkway for getting around without burning your feet during the incredibly hot summer months.
The entrance fees are worth every penny as there is simply so much fun to be had inside, and with cafes and bars to get food, you can spend the entire day here to get the most out of the experience. The cost of food and drinks inside the park can be a little high, so if you are looking to save a few cents, you could always bring a packed lunch and some drinks with you. There are lots of places to sit down and eat a packed lunch and you can rent out a locker for the day to keep your items in whilst you are in the water. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and all rides and pools are monitored by qualified lifeguards, so safety is never an issue.
